Audio and Video Render Settings

Audio and Video Render Settings

To prepare your synchronized digital assets for placement in a .ion Show File you will need to render them according to the Muséik requirements. If we are required to re-work or re-render your assets after they have been received it may cause delays and incur extra charges. Please follow these guidelines carefully. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us at support@ionconcertmedia.com.

Muséik's render settings have been developed with years of careful research and thoughtful planning. Our render settings attempt to strike a balance between high quality outputs and reasonable file sizes with satisfactory software performance on "average" computers. If you have any questions about our render setting requirements please contact us at support@ionconcertmedia.com

VIDEO RENDER SETTINGS

  1. Video files can be constructed with any resolution and any aspect ratio.
  2. Videos must be rendered in .mov format. Muséik will not read MP4 or other file types. The program will read any .mov file, but our research has determined that Apple Pro Res 422 Proxy is an excellent compromise between image quality and file size.
  3. Videos must be rendered at 30fps
  4. Other video render settings should be Progressive, Square Pixels.
  5. Muséik does not read audio from the film file. To reduce file size we recommend rendering your video file with audio turned off.
  6. Before rendering make sure you video file is EXACTLY the same size (same number of frames) as the Stage Sync™ file. Any deviation will cause the sync to drift.

AUDIO RENDER SETTINGS

  1. Audio files must be rendered in .aif or .aiff format.
  2. Audio files must be rendered with a bitrate of 44100 Hz. A file rendered at 48K Hz will not sync properly in the Muséik platform.
  3. Audio files must be EXACTLY the same length as the Stage Sync™ file. We suggest that if your audio files do not play to the end of the Stage sync™ file you add an audio clip at the end of your timeline with the level turned all the way down to ensure that your file is rendered with the proper length.
  4. Muséik has eight mono audio channels or four stereo channels available. If your audio files use more than a simple stereo left/right setup you must set up your export with multi-channel options set correctly. See the user manual for your DAW for instructions.
    1. NOTE: Multi-channel audio is only necessary if you desire to mix or mute channels separately. If you do not have this need it is perfectly OK to export multiple tracks into a single stereo left/right output.
